The Magic Horse Therapeutic Riding Center could not operate without the generous support of many organizations and people. There are many ways to get involved to support our efforts to bring hope, confidence and growth to people with disabilities and their families.

We welcome volunteers to our program, and depend on them for assistance during our lessons, help around the Center and support in caring for our horses. We provide hands-on training to our volunteers and have many different ways you can get involved at the Center. Please contact us today for more information.

The ongoing costs of running our Center are significant. In addition, families with disabled children or children with special needs face intense pressure to locate and pay for resources. Our services are not covered by insurance and because we understand our families have heavy financial burdens we offer our program at a low cost. Still, we need help to make sure more students can benefit. Please help us by donating to The Magic Horse Therapeutic Riding Center. There are several ways to support our program.

Sponsor a Rider

For $400 your donation will cover the cost of a rider taking 10 lessons.

Sponsor a Horse

Your $3000 donation will help fund the care and feeding for one horse for a year.

Scholarship Fund

Donations of any size are welcome and can be designated to our Scholarship Fund to pay for student lessons.

Corporate Sponsorships

We welcome organizations and businesses that would like to sponsor or support our program. We will work with your organization to determine the best way to partner and will acknowledge the sponsorship in our community activities, our printed materials and on our website. Your donations are tax deductible. The Magic Horse Therapeutic Riding Center is a 501 (c) (3) public charity.

Your donation to The Magic Horse makes a difference

Your donation to The Magic Horse Therapeutic Riding Center can be designated to sponsor a specific rider who otherwise could not afford lessons, or support the general scholarship fund. Lessons are usually once per week for an hour. Some riders come twice per week, and some families have more than one rider taking lessons. Or you could sponsor a horse and help cover the cost of feed, regular and emergency veterinary care, and hoof care every 8 weeks by the farrier. Another option is to make a donation of any size to help cover general operating expenses. Any and all contributions help make it possible for The Magic Horse to be here for our riders, their families, and our valuable volunteers. Make a difference by donating today!

Fire, a registered Arabian gelding, was born in 1983 and is a chestnut color. Fire was donated to the program, and his small, narrow build makes him the ideal horse for people who have difficulty stretching to ride a wide horse. His calm and gentle demeanor, along with his cooperative spirit makes Fire an ideal horse for smaller, independent riders and for lead line lessons. His long stride and bouncy trot put lots of motion into his gaits. This is an important part of therapeutic riding because the horse’s motion helps the riders improve balance, coordination, and strength.
